The Trials and Tribulations of Skincare

Skincare. A word that every girl learns to love after many (and many) trials. I speak for myself when I say that it has taken me a long time to get it right. I was lucky to have a mother and aunt who pounded two things into my head. First, don't touch your face. Second, moisturize.
One thing that I have learned does not help my skin is stress. I've come to the conclusion that the best thing to do with products is to keep it simple.
To start with cleanser, I have found this CeraVe foaming facial cleanser to take off the day. I use this morning and night, and my skin feels fresh after use. I pump a little in my hand, add some water, and wash away. CeraVe's Foaming Facial Cleanser has a unique formula with three essential ceramides that cleanse and removes oil without disrupting the protective skin barrier. Gentle foaming action refreshes and cleanses the skin, as well as removes excess oils. Key Ingredients: Ceramides 1,3 and 6-II - help restore the protective skin barrier, Hyaluronic Acid - attracts moisture, and Niacinamide - helps calm skin.
I've had a lot of experimenting occur with toner specifically. I decided to try this one out after having some luck with other Ordinary products. It is a lot stronger than most, and I only use it once at the end of the day. Your skin will feel a little tingly after you use it, but it's just working its power. Be patient, and it will be SO worth it. It's worked as a great exfoliant, and best of all, it is a GREAT price! It offers mild exfoliation for improved skin radiance and visible clarity. The formula also improves the appearance of skin texture with continued use.
Keeping on that Ordinary vibe, this is my new serum. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% from The Ordinary is rich in Niacinamide, and zinc PCA reduce signs of congestion while balancing visible sebum activity. Niacinamide has also been shown to offer brightening benefits. I use it in the morning after cleansing and the evening after toning.
I've just introduced this into my regimen, and I must say...I'm impressed.
